I have up for auction today a Solid STERLING Silver Cigarette Box 448.6 Grams Hallmarked and Dated 1922 *COLLECTABLE QUALITY BARGAIN* This is an outstanding and extremely HIGH QUALITY Solid Sterling Silver Cigarette Box as you can see by the photos, which can be seen beneath my written description by scrolling down the page. This magnificent Solid Sterling Silver Cigarette Box is quite plain with no embossed decorations. However the cigarette box has been inscribed upon with initials which read as follows:- C.B.S. Upon opening the cigarette box on the inside it has been lined with cedar wood and it is in super condition and very clean and tidy inside. This fine collectable piece has been clearly hallmarked and dated as follows:- The Anchor representing Birmingham, the Assay Lion Passant and the date letter 'x' denoting the year 1922. The Maker's mark reads as follows:- W.N. Ltd. The cigarette box is hinged and the hinges are in good order and the lid shuts good and tight. I can see dints/dents upon the cigarette box, however nothing too serious at all and in my opinion considering this piece has been used and is 90 years old it is in good condition!! This solid silver cigarette box measures 5.6cm to its highest point by 13.8cm by 8.6cm and weighs an amazing and astounding 448.6 grams (including the cedar wood as it is affixed within the cigarette box).
