I have up for auction today an ANTIQUE 9ct SOLID GOLD Vesta Case Hallmarked and Dated CHESTER 1909 Weight 22.3 Grams *EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY BARGAIN* This is truly a STUNNING and EXCEPTIONAL HIGH QUALITY Antique 9ct Solid Gold Vesta Case as you can see by the photos, which can be seen beneath my written description by scrolling down the page. This fabulous antique vesta case is 9ct Yellow SOLID GOLD and is NOT plated gold. The vesta case is quite plain with no embossed decorations, however there is plenty of space if you wish to have this vesta case personalised either for yourself or for someone special if you so desire. The vesta case has been clearly hallmarked and dated as follows:- The Wheatsheaves representing CHESTER, 9ct Gold (Grade 375) and the date letter ‘J’ denoting the year 1909. The Maker’s mark reads as follows:- W.N. The vesta case measures 4.2cm by 3.4cm and weighs an amazing 22.3 grams. The lid on the vesta case is hinged and the hinge is in good order and the lid shuts good and tight. The striker part has been used, but is in good order. I can only see a very slight/minor dint/dent on the vesta case, which is hardly noticeable at all. There are some slight surface scratches too, which is to be expected as this vesta case is a grand old age of 103 years old, however in my opinion it is in EXCELLENT CONDITION!
