1937 TOWLE Chippendale 12 Place Sets STERLING Flatware Description Up for your consideration is this Fabulous 1937 Towle Sterling Silver Flatware Service for 12 Place Settings! Each place setting includes, Dinner Fork, Salad Fork, Soup Spoon, Teaspoon, and Knife. PLUS, Serving pieces! There are 6 large Serving Spoons, plus more serving pieces. It all comes in the original case with velvet interior. This set is in Excellent Condition, just a couple of pieces could use a shine up. We have taken several pictures to show you this exceptional set. We took time to weigh this set out and it weighs a bit more than 2500 grams in sterling. This is how we broke it down. The extra Serving pieces weigh 198 grams, the 6 Serving Spoons weigh 405 grams, the 12~Four piece each Place setting weigh 1728 grams all together, this is EXCLUDING the knives. As the knives are NOT solid sterling, the handles are sterling, the blades are stainless. Each knife weighs 60 grams total, therefore, we estimated 30 grams sterling. All this totals 2692 grams of sterling, so to be on the side of caution, we are saying 2500+ grams of sterling. We took many pictures to show you each piece and some weights.
